Narvik Norway

Narvik is a municipality and a city in Norway, belonging to the province of Nordland, Ofoten district, in the geographical centre of the country. Narvik borders the municipality of Evenes to the Northwest, Bardu and Gratangen in the North, with the province of Norrbotten in Sweden to the South and East, and the municipality of Ballangen to the Southwest. Due to its high latitude, it is included within the Arctic circle. The city focuses its tourist activity on observing the wonder of nature which is located in these areas as Nordic, although the hardest winter months are not very recommended for visiting the region since it has not much activity and the few hours of sunlight make the place lose a bit of attraction. The city was very important during WWII since it was considered a strategic set of great value for both armies.
