Borgarnes Iceland

Borgarnes is a town situated on a peninsula along the coast of Borgarfjörður in Iceland. The town is 60 km north of the capital city, Reykjavík, and is linked to other parts of Iceland via the country's second largest bridge, Borgarfjarðarbrú. It is the largest town in the Borgarbyggð municipality. MAIN TOURIST ATTRACTIONS • Borgarfjörður Museum House. This building houses several small museums and collections, including a natural history collection, a local history museum, and an art collection. It also contains the local archives and library. • Skallagrímsgarður. This is a small municipal park located in the center of the town.
