Day 2: Colombo Jeep Discovery
Breakfast at Hailsham Bungalow before setting out on a jeep tour to discover Colombo’s principal attractions. Explore the city’s blend of colonial heritage, modern landmarks, vibrant neighbourhoods, and cultural highlights from a unique perspective. The remainder of the evening is at leisure to relax or explore at your own pace. Dinner and overnight stay at Hailsham Bungalow.
Day 3: Train Journey • River Safari
Breakfast at Hailsham Bungalow before boarding the train from Colombo to Ambalangoda, offering scenic views of Sri Lanka’s southern coastline. Upon arrival, enjoy a boat safari on the Madu River, exploring its tranquil mangroves, islands, and rich biodiversity. Thereafter, visit the Ambalangoda Mask Museum to discover Sri Lanka’s traditional mask-making heritage before continuing to Galle. The evening is at leisure to explore the historic city at your own pace. Dinner is at your own arrangement. Overnight stay at Le Grand Galle.
Day 4: Galle Heritage • Southern Coastal Wonders
Breakfast at the hotel before exploring the historic city of Galle, including its iconic landmarks and the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Galle Fort. Thereafter, proceed towards Wirawila along Sri Lanka’s southern coast. En route, observe the traditional stilt fishermen at Dikwella, visit the Weherahena Temple in Matara, and stop at the Hummanaya Blowhole in Tangalle, the largest natural blowhole in Sri Lanka. In the evening, enjoy a private candlelit dinner aboard an exclusive floating boat in the heart of the lake at Flameback Eco Lodge. Overnight stay at Flameback Eco Lodge.
Day 5: Botanical Gardens • Wildlife Encounters
Breakfast at Flameback Eco Lodge before visiting the Hambantota Botanical Garden, home to a diverse collection of tropical flora and beautifully landscaped grounds. In the afternoon, continue to Ridiyagama Safari Park for an immersive wildlife experience, including opportunities to feed elephants and birds while observing a variety of animal species in spacious enclosures. Return to Flameback Eco Lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
