Breakfast at the hotel and departure between 08:00 and 08:30 for a full day group city tour with an Italian guide. Scheduled group excursion.
The visit includes Kirstenbosch Gardens and Table Mountain (weather permitting – ticket excluded). Lunch and entrances to Kirstenbosch Gardens and Slave Lodge included. Drinks excluded.
The tour begins with a visit to the famous Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens. The garden includes five of South Africa’s six different biomes and is world-renowned for the beauty and diversity of Cape flora and the magnificent setting against the eastern slopes of Table Mountain.
Next, continue to Table Mountain (weather permitting; the cost of the cableway is not included). You can enjoy panoramic views of the Mother City and the Atlantic Seaboard, with Robben Island lying sleepily in Table Bay harbor.
After visiting Table Mountain, you reach the city center. Walk through the Company Gardens, where you can admire squirrels and a variety of plants, creating a cheerful atmosphere to absorb some of the city's "vibes."
At the end of Wale Street in the garden is a monument created to commemorate the life and work of Desmond Tutu, affectionately called "The Arch" by South Africans, which stands as a tribute to the values of the South African Constitution. Arch for Arch was installed next to the old St. George's Cathedral, also known as the "People's Cathedral" for its role in resisting apartheid.
Visit the Slave Lodge, which explores the history of involuntary immigrants and their contribution to the richness and diversity of South African history. During the journey through the city, participants will sense the atmosphere of the cultural melting pot it represents.
The day concludes with a stop at Truth Café, a steampunk-inspired artistic café serving coffee hand-roasted in an old cast iron drum, followed by a visit to the famous V&A Waterfront.
Return to the hotel is expected at 17:00.
Meet the Italian guide at the hotel and transfer to the Gold Restaurant. This transfer is done with the restaurant's shuttle and can take place between 17:45 and 18:15.
