Today is a mix of nature, wildlife, and cultural experiences along Sri Lanka’s beautiful southern coast.
Visiting Sites:
- Madu River Boat Safari
Experience a scenic boat ride through mangrove forests and small islands. You will witness local village life, bird species, and possibly monitor lizards and other wildlife. A relaxing and unique eco-experience.
- Kosgoda Turtle Hatchery
Visit a conservation project dedicated to protecting endangered sea turtles. Learn about different turtle species and see baby turtles being cared for before release into the ocean.
- Kande Vihara Temple
A well-known Buddhist temple famous for its large seated Buddha statue. It is an important religious site offering a peaceful and spiritual atmosphere.
