Day 1: Highlights Of Ancient Athens

Our journey begins in Athens, the historic capital of Greece and the birthplace of democracy, philosophy, and science in Western civilization. With over 3,400 years of recorded history, the city feels like a living open-air museum. We’ll explore the iconic Acropolis and discover some of Athens’ most fascinating landmarks, including the Theatre of Dionysus—the world’s oldest known theater—the magnificent Parthenon, a UNESCO World Heritage Site dedicated to the goddess Athena, the Areopagus (Hill of Ares) with sweeping views over modern Athens, and the charming Plaka neighborhood, one of the city’s oldest and most picturesque quarters. Overnight in a 4 star hotel in Athens

Day 2: The Corinth Canal & Nafplio Old Town

Today we dedicate most of the day to exploring Nafplio, one of the most beautiful towns in the Argolis region and the first capital of modern Greece. Traveling toward the Peloponnese Peninsula, we cross the impressive Corinth Canal, an artificial waterway carved in the late 19th century. Upon arrival in Nafplio, we enjoy a walking tour through its charming medieval old town, discovering its main monuments and historic sites. Highlights include the imposing Palamidi Fortress, built by the Venetians in the 18th century and overlooking the city, a stroll along the scenic Arvanitia Promenade with stunning views of the Argolic Bay, harbor, and lighthouse, and a visit to Akronafplia Castle, the city’s oldest fortress, originally developed in antiquity and later expanded by the Romans. Overnight in a 4 star hotel in Nafplio

Day 3: Ancient City Of Mycenae & Rio Antirrio Bridge

Today we explore the ancient city of Mycenae, legendary home of King Agamemnon and one of the most important centers of the Mycenaean civilization of the 2nd millennium BC, where we visit the impressive remains of this remarkable archaeological site. Continuing our journey, we drive along the scenic shores of the Gulf of Corinth to the spectacular Rio–Antirrio Bridge, the longest suspension bridge in Greece, and cross the strait by ferry from Rio to Antirrio alongside the bridge. On the western shore, we visit the historic Antirrio Castle, built by Sultan Bayezid II in the late 15th century, before arriving in the charming town of Nafpaktos to stroll around its small, picturesque old port. Overnight in a 4 star hotel in Nafpaktos

Day 4: The Old City Of Ioannina & Lake Pamvotida

Today is dedicated to exploring Ioannina, the capital of the Epirus region, and the scenic shores of Lake Pamvotida. We enjoy a guided walking tour through the historic old town, discovering its atmospheric alleys and historic buildings shaped by centuries of multicultural influence from Christian, Muslim, and Jewish communities. Highlights include the Acropolis of the Ioannina Fortress, considered the oldest Byzantine castle in Greece, followed by a relaxing stroll along the Lake Pamvotida promenade, offering beautiful views of the lake and the old city. Overnight in a 3 star hotel in Zagori Area

Day 5: Picturesque Villages Of The Zagori Region

Today we explore the picturesque villages of the Zagori region, meaning “The Land Beyond the Mountains,” set in the heart of the Pindos Mountain range in Epirus. Our journey takes us to the charming village of Mikro Papingo, a national historical monument, where we stroll through cobbled stone alleys and visit the beautiful Papingo Rock Pools, formed by clear running water and small waterfalls. We continue to the traditional village of Aristi, known for its stone houses and spectacular location on the edge of the Vikos–Aoos Natural Reserve, stopping at a breathtaking viewpoint overlooking the Vikos Gorge, considered the narrowest deep canyon in the world. The day concludes in Kipoi village, where we admire its historic Ottoman-era stone bridges. Overnight in a 3 star hotel in Zagori Area

Day 6: Rafting Along The Voidomatis River

We begin the day with a scenic guided rafting experience on the Voidomatis River, renowned for its crystal-clear turquoise waters as it flows gently through the lush landscapes of Vikos–Aoos National Park. Continuing onward, we travel to Grevena, known as the “Mushroom Capital of Greece,” where we join a guided mushroom tour and enjoy a traditional local lunch showcasing regional flavors. In the afternoon, we drive toward the spectacular Meteora region, preparing for the next chapter of our journey. Overnight in a 4 star hotel in Kastraki

Day 7: Meteora Monasteries A Unesco World Heritage Site

Today is largely dedicated to exploring the extraordinary Meteora Monasteries, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Greece’s most remarkable geological and spiritual landscapes. Originally home to 24 monasteries dating back to the 11th century, many were later built atop seemingly unreachable cliffs in the 14th century following Turkish invasions. We enjoy a guided tour of the Monastery of Megalo Meteoro, the first and largest of the Meteora monasteries, visit the Monastery of Rousanos, and admire the dramatic rock formations from several panoramic observation points overlooking the Kalambaka Valley. Short hikes between monasteries, including a walk toward the “Dragon Cave” at the foothills of the Monastery of Varlaam, complete the experience before we drive south to Delphi. Overnight in a 4 star hotel in Delphi

Day 8: Ancient Delphi, Hades's Springs And Back To Athens

We begin the day with a visit to the legendary archaeological site of Delphi, once home to the great Oracle and regarded in ancient times as the “center of the world,” where events such as the Pythian Games were held every four years. We then continue to the picturesque town of Livadeia, known for the mythical Krya (Hades’) Springs, and explore its highlights including the ancient watermill set along the river, the 13th-century Catalan medieval castle, the scenic Krya Springs with cobbled paths, waterfalls, and plane trees, and the historic Trichino Bridge spanning the gorge of the Erkyna River. In the afternoon, we drive back to Athens, where our journey comes to an end.
